Mahesh Babu, speaking at the pre-release event for "Animal" in Hyderabad, expressed admiration for Ranbir Kapoor, hailing him as the best actor in India. SS Rajamouli playfully questioned Ranbir about choosing between him and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, to which Ranbir eventually opted for Sandeep.
